These terms govern your use of Quilt & Quiet (quiltandquiet.com), published by Type 5 Marketing LLC. By using the site you accept them.

Quilt & Quiet is a consumer publication. Nobody involved in it is a physician, nurse, occupational therapist, physical therapist or benefits adviser. Nothing on this site is a diagnosis, a treatment recommendation, or an assessment of anyone's situation.

Content about sleeping positions, elevation, falls, bed rails and mobility is a mechanical description of what equipment does, plus quotations from published federal guidance. It is not a substitute for professional advice, and for anything involving a fall, a new symptom, a recent operation, or a change in mobility you should speak to a clinician. An occupational therapist can assess a person and their room together, which no website can.

Product information

• Specifications are read from the manufacturer's or retailer's own published listing on the date printed beneath each table. We record them faithfully and mark unpublished figures as unpublished. We cannot warrant that a manufacturer's own claim is accurate.
• Prices are retrieved from the retailer's live interface and stamped with the date. Prices change constantly and the price at checkout is the one that applies. We display no price that we could not verify.
• Scores are our editorial reading of published specifications, computed from a rubric we publish in full. They are not test results, not laboratory measurements, and not a warranty of fitness for any purpose.
• Availability is the retailer's, not ours. We do not sell, stock, ship or service anything.

Pages about bed rails, fall risk and entrapment summarize published guidance from the Consumer Product Safety Commission and the Food and Drug Administration, and link to the original documents. Those documents are the authority; our summary is not. Where a measurement or a fitting check matters, follow the manufacturer's instructions and the linked guidance rather than our paraphrase of either.

Coverage and benefits content

Pages about Medicare, Medicaid, the VA, HSAs and FSAs quote and link to primary sources. Coverage rules change, are administered with local variation, and depend on individual circumstances. Nothing here is benefits advice or a prediction of what you will be granted. Free, unbiased counseling is available through your State Health Insurance Assistance Program.
